Dwight Howard

13 December 2011

Chris Paul has been perfecting his start-and-stop from the comfort of his living room. Dwight Howard can't seem to decipher his own feelings about the Magic. Lamar Odom, as collateral from the Paul fall-out, whined his way to the Mavs, who were spurned earlier in the week by Tyson Chandler (Knicks). Chauncey Billups took his frequent flier miles to the Clips (though he could be dealt again by the time I finish this sentence) and Big Baby was swapped for Brandon Bass.

As long as the Orlando Magic has a healthy Dwight Howard, they will always win a lot of regular season games. But unless they can have their entire core playing together and playing well, they have little chance as repeating as the Eastern Conference champs.

ally.

Here in lies part of the problem for Orlando, who were out rebounded 55 to 41 on the night. Dwight Howard did his part with 15 rebounds. The bigger problem however was the Magic who rely on a perimeter game for the bulk of their offense only shot 23 for 77 from the field. They were 8 of 23 from 3 point land but that was not enough. Poor foul shooting also.

and Scott Pollard were enough big bodies and length to hang with the 3 towers of Orlando. Dwight Howard the beast, Hedo Turkoglu, and Rashard Lewis. Handling them means more than height and post presence but some ability away from the basket.
